Biography

Amy Witherspoon is the Center Administrator at the Center for Urban Education. A native of outside Chicago, she recently moved to Pittsburgh via Detroit. Amy worked as one of the assistant testing coordinators and a mathematics aide at a charter high school school in Southwest Detroit, where she was also involved as a varsity softball coach, robotics mentor for the FIRST Robotics team, and the class of 2015 senior moderator. She was previously the assistant director of an all-girls non-profit residential summer camp in Northern Wisconsin. She is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she majored in Spanish and Economics and studied abroad a semester each in Salamanca, Spain and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
